Hasbro Zoombox projector is an easy to use electronic projector that can be used for projecting films or other media with an image of 60 inches or more.The Hasbro Zoombox projector has a built in DVD player, and can also be connected to your game system, digital camera, video camera or a cable box for plenty of variety. You can play CDs on the Zoombox, plus play games and / or watching movies.
You must plug the Zoombox into a standard electrical outlet and the projector lens to your designated area of display, such as a wall or ceiling. For connecting to the gaming zone bth video and audio in put is provided. Hasbro said that "for optimal viewing, ZOOMBOX place eight feet from the wall or ceiling and it will project an image of sixty inches diagonally. ZOOMBOX has two integrated speakers with stereo sound, a headphone jack and a resolution of 557x234 pixels. lightweight Zoombox weighs 5 pounds only.
The only significant disadvantage is that the resolution is much lower than VGA, 557x234. Some of the menus on the screen DVDs were a little hard to read, but not bad from the point of frustration, and it's very well done for retro games. The Zoombox has much to recommend it: it is much quieter than my projector 3M, takes up less space, consumes much less energy, and is portable. In addition, the DVD Player is a big advantage: it is one less device I need in my home theater basement.
It uses a typical halogen bulb that can be purchased at any local electrical store for about $ 5 to $7. The electricity consumed by this unit is around 50 watt/per hour. I use it without worrying about maintenance costs, and thank you to the economic fact, this little toy can be used in many creative ways that has not been reasonable with "real" lights. For example, when I attended with friends I sometimes place Hasbro Zoombox projector in the living room to play DVD concerts and music videos purchased from iTunes Music Store as BGM. My 'for real' Epson's too expensive to be used in such ways.
